Our mission is to provide spiritually-grounded and positive solutions to contemporary challenges, while adhering to traditional principles and knowledge, with the mercy and wisdom embodied in the sunna of the Prophet.
Our vision is to forge a bold and unshakeable Islamic identity, merge the best of Islamic and Western traditions, and inspire the way we view and interact with the world as believers.
Shaykh Jamir Dean Meah is an Islamic scholar, with expertise in law and scholastic theology.He is a teacher, researcher, writer, and experienced homeopathic physician and life coach. Shaykh Jamir is the founding director of Key to the Garden Foundation.
Having studied and taught over fifteen years, listening and speaking to people of all ages about their concerns and struggles, and providing guidance and holistic treatment to hundreds of people all over the world, it became clear that Muslims were in need in many different ways and on various levels, and to effectively engage with these modern challenges a new, dynamic, and multi-faceted approach was needed, and moreover, a people-first approach. Creative and comprehensive solutions rooted in traditional principles that not only respond to the intellectual challenges we face but more importantly, that reach the hearts and are capable of bringing about real, practical, and positive change in people’s lives.
In 2020, Shaykh Jamir, with a small group of dedicated volunteers, established the Key to the Garden Foundation with the purpose to provide holistic and ground-breaking solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing the ummah. The foundation serves as an umbrella organization that houses a variety of individual services under one roof, with a focus on identity and education, religious guidance and consultation, and mental and physical well- being within open, welcoming, and non-judgmental spaces.

Key to the Garden is a reference to the Prophetic tradition which states that the testification of faith will be the means for a person to enter the eternal Gardens of Paradise.
Our use of the phrase in the naming of our foundation and related projects returns to this tradition, and more specifically, to a journey that started many years ago, and which began with the fortuitous purchase of a book, Key to the Garden by Habib Ahmad Mashhur al Haddad. This subtle yet majestic work set in motion more than a decade of seeking, learning and teaching, which continues to this day. Key to the Garden Foundation is a fruit of this journey, and through it, we hope that it is a key to the Garden for every one of you.
